Peel Ports visit
19th June 2013Accompanied by senior Peel Ports’ staff, the students had a guided tour around the port estate, including a trip to the site of the new Liverpool2 deep water container development. This was followed by a unique water-side view of the dock system on board a hydrographic vessel – normally used to survey the depth of the River Mersey’s channels. The water-side tour, with commentary by the port’s Assistant Harbour Master, Paul Clay, gave the students a fascinating opportunity to see the docks from the point of view of a working vessel. Year 8 Cricket performance
18th June 2013The Year 8 Cricket team produced an outstanding bowling display to reach the semi-finals of the Cheshire Cup. Harry Meehan and Patrick Delaney took 6 wickets and Lucas McElvogue batted well for a solid 22 runs. Read More

James Bond Night
17th June 2013Last week, a group of students from Years 8 to 12 went on a trip to watch a concert at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall. The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Carl Davis with vocalists Mark Moraghan and Hannah Levane, performed all the theme songs from the Bond movies, starting with Doctor No and finishing with Skyfall. The show was fantastic, with the audience shaken and stirred by the sound of a full size symphony orchestra giving a powerful rendition of the music. Read More

Summer Showcase
11th June 2013St Anselm's College Drama Group presents their first ever "Summer Showcase". Join us for an evening of short sketches presented by our students. There's something to suit everyone so bring your family and friends! It will be held on July 3rd and 4th (running time approx 1 hour) Tickets are priced £3.00 each or 4 for £10. They are available from reception. Refreshments will be included afterwards and we also have some great raffle prizes in support of our Sierra Leone Immersion 2014. Read More
