French Exchange

Following the sad news about Will Allen, the exchange started on a rather subdued note. We decided as a group that although we would miss his remembrance mass at the College, we would honour him in our way and take our Christmas jumpers to Paris and we would 'smile for Will'. We attended Mass and light candles for him at Notre Dame Cathedral and the Sacré Coeur.

We braved the cold to visit the Musée Rodin and compared and contrasted with a fascinating live and interactive exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo. We were enchanted at the Opera Garnier hearing tales of the Phantom and how the high society socialised. We tasted some French Christmas specialities and admired the impressive Printemps and Galeries Lafayette windows. A firm favourite were the Catacombs, with over 300kms of tunnels housing the remains of more than 6 million people.  We rounded the trip off with a game of Kahoot in the airport. Now we're looking forward to welcoming our French friends at the end of March.

Merci to all the boys for their impeccable behaviour and to all the parents for supporting and encouraging their sons to take advantage of this amazing opportunity.
