Summer Ball 2012
St Anselm's College Hall was transformed last night to welcome 170 guests to the Summer Ball, in aid of the refurbishment of Outwood.
The lantern lit quad hosted a champagne reception with canapes as well as a cocktail bar, which proved most popular with the guests. Even a sudden downpour did not dampen spirits! The warm summer evening meant guests were able to enjoy the relaxed ambience of the quad into the wee small hours.
Right from the start of the evening there was a real buzz about the place, as the guests enjoyed their meal amongst candle lit tables, were able to bid for a massive array of donated prizes in the auctions and raffle, then they danced the night away to the crooner tunes of John Scott. The Sixth Form students who waited on the tables did the College proud and were deserving of the generous tips they received, all to be donated to the Sierra Leone project.
This was truly an enjoyable and memorable evening and we would like to extend our thanks to all those who planned, supported, executed and attended the evening to raise funds and to FOSA who managed the bar.
