    St Anselm’s College returned for the 8th year running to the Cavern Club’s live stage with more bands than ever before. The 200 tickets were sold out by last Wednesday as parents and groupies battled to get themselves in to watch some of the finest and certainly the loudest music the College produces. Read More

    Year 8 student wins Bullybusters competition

    Zak Gainey Year 8 is a prize winner in this year's Bullybusters poster competition. Boys in Year 8 completed their entries during this year's Anti-Bullying Week activities in November. The theme this year was ' Let's stop bullying for all' and Zak's entry won the Year 7-9 category in this Merseyside competition. Well done, Zak and congratulations to all students whose entries were chosen for this competition. Read More

    Year 12 students compete in Catenian Public Speaking Competition

    On Friday, 30th January, three Year 12 students competed in a local Public Speaking Competition run by the Catenian Association of Birkenhead. The rules of the competition allow the students to address and argue their case to an audience for a specific time limit of 6 minutes. Points were allocated or deducted for quality, delivery and timing according to strict rules of the competition. Read More

    Year 10 student shows off his photographic skills at Kaiser Chiefs concert

    A 14-year-old budding photographer and Kaiser Chiefs fan managed to get a great view of the band's recent concert at the Echo Arena. After contacting the management companies of Public Sound System and the Kaiser Chiefs, Tom Lear managed to secure a photographers pass. Tom lined up with the other 13 photographers for the gig - and even managed to get some advice from regular Echo Arena photographer David Munn. Read More
