    On 2nd November the Year 12 Media Studies students attended a lecture at St George's Hall, Liverpool. Students listened to former Wirral resident, Lord Hall of Birkenhead, discuss his role as BBC Director General. Lord Hall shared his vision for the future of the BBC and addressed challenging questions such as the gender pay gap at the BBC and the future of the licence fee. Read More

    Even following the torrential weather at the end of the week, the home fixtures went ahead. Once again reflecting the hard work and effort of groundsman Tommy McCann. There was an impeccably observed one minute silence to commemorate the fallen. In difficult conditions the Year 8, 9 and 10 sides all battled away and there was some excellent rugby on show as our hosts Altrincham came to entertain and play. Read More

    English Schools Cup Regional Final

    On Saturday 11th November, the St Anselm's Junior and Intermediate English Schools Cross Country squads travelled to Casterton in the Lake District to compete in the Regional Final of the English Schools Cup. Both teams had strong chances of gaining selection for the National Final but faced stiff competition from schools across the North West region. Read More

    In a few weeks we will be selling festive gifts at our annual fund raising gift shop. All the gifts/ gift sets are £2 and all proceeds are used to make festive food hampers for local families with children and the elderly, who live in impoverished circumstances in our local community.     Youth Parliament

    November 7th saw the return of the popular Youth Parliament in Wallasey Town Hall. Two students took time out of their busy schedules to represent the College at the event. It was attended by local schools, the Lady Mayor and Wirral Councillors. The items discussed centred around mental health in education. It is good to see such well informed young people who are prepared to have their voices heard and who want to make a difference. Read More
