    Cross Country squad retains Roses Trophy

    On Saturday 19th March, the St Anselm's Cross-Country squads took part in the annual Northern Schools Cross Country Championships. We were looking to retain the Roses trophy which we managed to win last year. Our Year 7 team ran very well coming 2nd overall, with Zac Russell putting in a fine performance coming 3rd individually. The Year 8 team battled valiantly in tough conditions coming 3rd overall, with Louis Johnston coming 3rd individually. Read More

    Alison McGovern MP visits Sixth Form Amnesty Group

    Wirral South MP Alison McGovern was generous enough with her time to pay us a visit on Friday 18 March, in response to receiving letters from Sixth Form Anselmians in her constituency about the Human Rights Act, organised by the Sixth Form Amnesty Group. Friday lunchtime has never been more intellectually stimulating as she took the chance to discuss human rights issues with some well-prepared Sixth Formers. Read More

    1st and 2nd XV Rugby teams finish on a high

    The 1st and 2nds both finished with resounding wins against Liverpool College. The first team won 20 points to 5 but it was a very tough encounter and the game was in the balance until the final ten minutes. It has been a hard season but Matt Bird led the team with distinction and for him, Morris, Birss and McNamara it was fitting finish to their College rugby. Read More

    Congratulations, Joe!

    Joe Pendleton completed his Super Sprint Triathlon on Saturday 5th March raising money for the College's charities, Good Shepherd, Catholic Children’s Society and Street Child Africa. An early start for his 400m swim at Leasowe Leisure Centre, before cycling 5km into a fresh 18mph headwind along the coast, then a 2,000m run to cross the finish line at Fort Perch Rock. Read More

  • Friends of the Holy Land visit the College

    Friends of the Holy Land visit the College

    15th March 2016

    On Monday 7th March the College welcomed Dr Mary Brennan as a representative of the charity Friends of the Holy Land. All of the students in Years 10 and 12 took part in her three part presentation on the issues of division and injustice in the Holy Land today. Afterwards Dr Brennan was presented with a cheque for £532.21 raised by donations from the Carol Concert and the fundraising activities of Year 10 students. Read More
