    English Schools National Final

    The intermediate boys athletics team represented the North West of England at the English Schools National Final in Bedford. There were some great individual performances and the team finished 12th in England. Joshua Solomon-Davies finished 1st in the 100m with a new PB of 11.3. New PBs for both our hurdlers Patrick Delaney and Greg Mankin, Harry Edwards got PBs in both his triple jump and 800m. Congratulations to all involved. Read More

    Spanish trip to Barcelona

    Forty students in Years 7 - 10 recently participated in the Spanish trip to Barcelona. This was a great success with various excursions to the football stadium, a theme park and La Sagrada Familia. Students also used free time to do some shopping and see the sights. There was, of course, a football never too far away with a game played on the beach. We had our evening meals in various restaurants and sampled different Spanish foods. It was an action packed 4 days but we certainly made the most of every minute of it. Read More

    On 30th June we were delighted to join dozens of other Wirral schools at our fourth Wirral Film Festival. We had tough competition and did not secure any prizes but the judges commented that the students' work showed, "very good use of genre codes & conventions with a solid narrative structure."     What a great week! To give our French partners the experience of a different culture was as fascinating as it was rewarding. The work placement was challenging yet improved their English dramatically.   • Corpus Christi procession

    The month of the Sacred Heart was marked with the annual procession of the Blessed Sacrament around the College grounds. Over 400 students took part and Benediction took place before the statue of the Sacred Heart in the garden of Outwood. Fr Louis Maggiore spoke to the students afterwards and encouraged them to recognise Godís love in their lives. Read More
