Options & Careers

Year 7 students have been asked to opt for their second language at the College. They have a choice of French, German or latin to study alongside our core language of Spanish. I have included 3 documents to support this choice.

Year 9 students will be making their GCSE Options. Please find a downloadable options form and an ebook/pdf of the subject guidance.

Year 11 students will be making post -16 options and for the majority of Year 11 this will mean selecting 4 AS subjects to study at the College next year. The downloadable options form and an options advice ebook (to be uploaded soon) are to the left to support this decision.

Year 12 move into Year 13 in September and must opt for the subjects that they wish to continue into full A2 study. The majority of students will opt for 3 subjects (dropping one) but in special cases the decision to take all four subjects through to A2 will be considered.

Any student who wishes to meet with our Connexions Advisor for help, support, advice or guidance related to careers and future pathways can make an appointment to see her through Mrs Cooban. She will also be available at most Parents’ Evenings at school and appointments to meet her can be arranged for this too. 


Drop in sessions take place each Tuesday lunchtime 1:30pm - 2:00pm in the Careers Library
