Edmund Rice Trust

Please click here for details of the Anselmian Association dinner on Saturday 20th September at 7:30pm.

The Edmund Rice Trust was set up in 1997 to “enhance College facilities”.

From a small beginning, £1,770 in the first year, the Trust has contributed almost £400,000 to enhancements to the College, including a superb Sports Hall-£210k, extended Science Block-£30k, up-to-date Technology Department-£20k, a new Classroom Block-£50k with state-of-the-art Modern Foreign Languages and Mathematics suites, and £20k upgrade of the College Hall.
All these enhancements have been provided thanks to the generosity of Parents, Old Boys, Staff and Governors.
Earlier this year the Edmund Rice Trust purchased ‘Outwood’ - the Brothers’ House - to provide new Sixth Form facilities for the College, supported by a grant of £700,000 through Wirral Local Authority.
In order to make the purchase, the Trustees have taken out a massive £450,000 loan. We now have to repay this enormous loan. We therefore invite your personal support and commitment by making a regular contribution of just £10, £15, or £20 per month to the Edmund Rice Trust during the years ahead. As of October 2013 we have managed to repay our first £100,000 of the capital repayments within two and a quarter years!
