Religion

Religious education is provided as part of the curriculum. During their first three years at St. Anselm's, students gain an acquaintance with world religions. Thenceforth, the emphasis is upon Christian teachings and ethics.

St. Anselm's is committed to instilling an awareness of religion, not only as an academic subject, but as an integral part of everyday life. 'Faith Development' is supported through regular prayer, and organised discussions of Christ's relevance to everyday life, whilst symbols of Christian significance are given prominence throughout the school.

Sex education is given in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church, and in such a manner to encourage pupils to have due regard for the sanctity of life and the family.
