Feast of St.Anselm Celebrations!

The College community celebrated the Feast Day of St.Anselm (21st April) by devouring an enormous cake baked by Mrs.Davies and her catering team on Friday afternoon! It took 24 trays of iced chocolate sponge, decorated with symbols from the College crest, such as the Star and drops of blood, to satisfy the appetite of 900 hungry students, selflessly assisted by the Staff! Portions were also conveyed to the Brothers’ House.
Our Spiritual Chaplain, Fr. Simon O’Connor, frequently exhorts us to celebrate our Feast Days joyously, and the Headmaster hopes to see this tradition established in the College calendar.

Later the same evening the Anselmian Association celebrated its annual dinner in the Hall. Mr. Tony Hyde, a former student and teacher at the College, joined us from Switzerland. The Dinner is celebrated annually on the closest Friday to our patron’s Feast Day and all old Anselmians and their guests are welcome.

Members of the College Council rejoice as we celebrate the Feast Day of St. Anselm.
