Senior rugby teams both have excellent seasons

Senior rugby finished on a high with two good wins over Bolton Grammar last Saturday. The 1st XV won 45-14 whilst the 2nd XV had another 50 point win and there was even an Ed Johnson try to put the icing on the cake!!

The 1st XV have been expertly led this season by Sam Orr and their record of won 10 drew 1 and lost 6 was an excellent return and fairly reflected the season. There were some real highs like the 40 point cup win over Calday and the "Miracle of Noctorum"  - when we came back from the dead to beat Sandbach with the last play of the match 23-22!

Meanwhile a youthful 2nd team played some outstanding rugby this season. They won 8 drew 1 and lost 3.  This bodes very well for next season and the power and skill of the stand out players has allowed the team to play an attacking and adventurous style with skill and pace thrown into the mix.

Well done to all those who contributed to an excellent and enjoyable season. Training was intense and competitive and the senior rugby environment is a tribute to a lot of hard work all round.
