Wirral Food Bank - Food support for families

Hello

I am attaching a copy of our leaflet entitled “Fresh & Cooked Food”. This gives a list of places on Wirral where families can have access to food either free or at very low cost. The Community Shops on the leaflet enable families to purchase a whole bag of items for approx. £2, while places such as the Place in the Park provide a free hot meal to anyone who goes to their centre in Wallasey.

All of this is in addition to the service offered by Wirral Foodbank. People can ask for a red food voucher at a CAB office or Council One Stop Shop, that will allow them to have 3 days’ worth of food for their family, and also apply for £30 of gas / electricity. The person would need to take evidence of their financial situation with them. Please ring us for further details.

We also work closely with Ask Us Wirral, which is part of the CAB. Many issues families face are dealt with by this service. I am attaching a leaflet about this for you, so you have details of the website.

If you would like any further advice on how local families can be helped or signposted please don’t hesitate to contact us on the number below.

Kind regards
