Double NatWest Cup success for 1st XV and Under 15s

The tough first half-term of College Rugby ended on a high. Both the senior 1st XV and Mr Hale's Under 15s progressed to the next round of the Nat West Vase.

An injury hit St Anselm's Under 15s produced a gritty display at home to beat Weaverham High School by 18 points to 5. They now progress to the 3rd round and will hopefully have some key players available. George Hassall has led the team well so far this season and Jacob Malkin, Will Clayton and Anthony Forsyth have also made significant contributions.

Last week the Under 18s beat Birkenhead School by 37-12 and progressed to the 4th Round of the Vase. It has been a non stop half term of Rugby at senior level with eight matches in five weeks.

The current record of won 5, drawn 1 and lost 2 is a sterling effort. Jacob Gilroy has played and led the team  outstandingly well and great credit goes to him and the boys.

Well done
