Liverpool John Moore’s University Careers Trip Year 9

On Thursday 17th January, 60 Year 9 pupils were invited to Liverpool John Moores University for an Information Day. Following a lively opening session boys visited student accommodation, took part in a Careers based exercise and a quiz. There were taster sessions for Biology, Civil Engineering and Law courses. After lunch all boys had the opportunity to navigate the approaches to Liverpool using one of the five ship simulators, which most participants agreed, are well worth the £5 million price tag.

The College would like to convey their sincere thanks to the event organiser, Karen Foreman, LJMU advocates Amina Hussain (Happy 21st Birthday!) Jeremiah Kirkpatrick and Alex Massey ably supported by Old Anselmians Sam Cotgrave and Connor Ascott-Jones. Thanks are also due to Jane Colebourn at Shaping Futures, the Merseyside Collaborative Outreach Programme for their generosity. The boys themselves proved excellent ambassadors of the College and enjoyed a thoroughly worthwhile event.
