Rugby 1st XV continue impressive form

The College 1st XV followed up an excellent home win versus Merchant Taylors (34-22) with a hard fought but well deserved victory over St Ambrose 19-10. The previous week had in fact seen all College teams win for a first whitewash of our Merseyside rivals!

One again there were superb performances from skipper Jacob Gilroy celebrating his offer from Oxford. He could indeed be our first ever Rugby blue if he continues playing to this level!! Whilst Adam Roscoe was also instrumental against Ambrose and Hughes scored two fine tries in the win against Merchants.

This Saturday the seniors have a well deserved break and there are games for Years 7, 8 and 9 A teams at home versus Bishop Heber - all 10am KO at The Ridings.

Well done
