1st and 2nd XV Rugby

Another strong season for the 1st and 2nd XV Rugby sides ended with two victories over Bolton Grammar School.

The 1st XV, ably led by standout player Jacob Gilroy, won 15-0 in a tough and uncompromising match. It was a very tight affair and defence was mostly the order of the day. With the Upper 6th boys playing their final game of XV's for the College they all performed and played with passion and gusto. The key second  try was fittingly scored by Joe Brennan who has epitomised the commitment of the whole squad this season.

The 2nd XV ended their season with another comprehensive victory by 44 points to 7. A lot of young players have stood out his season including some very able Year 11s who will all push for the 1st XV next season.

So the end of another era for the Year 13 boys who have been a pleasure to coach and take on tour last summer to USA & Canada  aswell as the Year 9 tour to Italy back in 2015!

This was a side who as Year 7s lost virtually every match. A lot of staff put in a great deal of effort over the years and their steady progress and development  has also been down to the efforts of coach Peter Cucchi.
