    The U12 Sevens squad travelled to Audenshaw School on March 5th for their very first Sevens Tournament. The squad had trained together during the previous weeks in preparing to meet the challenge of the strong set of schools entering this annual competition. They secured victories against Audenshaw School, Altrincham Grammar School, Bramhall High School, Bolton Boys School and Queen Ethlebuga's scoring 15 tries conceding only 3. Read More

    Before the Christmas break 8 students competed for 2 spaces to represent the College at the Wirral Merseyside finals. The competition was astonishingly close between them all - I was glad I didn’t have to pick! This was down to Mr Haimes, Mrs Martin, Mrs Lennon, Ryan Neish and Daniel Chapman.     The Year 8 and Year 9 French students recently celebrated the French festival 'La Chandeleur'. The Catholic holiday of Candlemas, on 2 February, is a feast to commemorate the purification of the Virgin Mary and the presentation of baby Jesus. In France, this holiday is called la Chandeleur, Fête de la Lumière (Festival of light). The boys discovered that the French choose crêpes as they make the shape and colour of the sun, a natural source of light. Read More

    Year 8 student wins Bullybusters competition

    Zak Gainey Year 8 is a prize winner in this year's Bullybusters poster competition. Boys in Year 8 completed their entries during this year's Anti-Bullying Week activities in November. The theme this year was ' Let's stop bullying for all' and Zak's entry won the Year 7-9 category in this Merseyside competition.
