Headmaster's Message Friday 29th April

Dear parents and carers,

I am pleased to report that we have made a good start to the summer term. The local Covid rate has dropped and we are back to normal attendance but will maintain our precautions such as well-ventilated classrooms and good hand hygiene.

GCSE Speaking Tests begin for Year 11 on Tuesday and written exams on 16th May, with written A levels starting on 23rd May.

Year 12 begin their UCAS Exams on Friday 6th May. These results will strongly influence A level and BTEC UCAS predictions and student choice of university courses. We hope that our Higher Education evening on Tuesday helped motivate the boys!

On Thursday 5th May we celebrate the Feast Day of Blessed Edmund Rice, founder of The Congregation of Christian Brothers, our Trustees. Some of our 6th Form students will participate in a global network celebration on Thursday afternoon.

I wish you and your families an enjoyable and relaxing Bank Holiday weekend.

Yours in Christ,
Simon Duggan
Headmaster
