Headmaster's Message 5th May

Dear parents and students,

I hope that our enjoy the weekend as we move towards the 3rd week of the Summer Term.

We are on a Week B Timetable from Monday and celebrate the Feast Day of Blessed Edmund Rice, founder of the Christian Brothers, on Tuesday 5th May. His charism continues to inspire our global educational family today. Friday is a national Bank Holiday to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of VE Day and the end of the war in Europe. We will not be delivering lessons on Friday as this is a day to celebrate and honour those who made great sacrifices in a just cause and the victims of war.

Students and teachers are making increasingly effective use of Microsoft Teams in teaching, learning and assessment. If your son has fallen behind with this term’s studies he can use time on Friday to catch up.

There is no news about when schools will re-open nationally but we are monitoring the situation closely and will keep you fully updated.

We are thinking of, and praying for, all members of our community and their families at this challenging and uncertain times.

Yours in the charism of Blessed Edmund Rice,

Simon Duggan

Headmaster
