St Anselm's College to Sierra Leone and back Challenge

Dear Parents/Guardians
Over the next 2 weeks (Monday 29th June - Monday 13th July) we are setting the school community, both pupils and staff, the target of collectively walking/running or cycling 13,329km. The reason for this figure is that this distance equates to walking from St Anselm's College to Makeni in Seirra Leone, Makeni to Freetown and then back to the College. The College has close links with Sierra Leone and pupils and staff visit every year. We would like your son to sign up to the Strider App on his smartphone using his school email login. They will also need either apple health, google fit or strava on their phone. Once signed up to Strider the school can track how many km both pupils and staff have collectively travelled. This would be a fantastic achievement and one we need everyone to contribute towards. I have attached a document with more details on.
Finally, we would like you and/or your son to follow @anselms_pe on twitter as we will be posting updates on here and we would like to see your son taking part. Please feel free to send in pictures or screenshots of your run/walk or cycle.
Thank you for your support.
Mr Edwards
