Headmaster's Message 5th February

Dear Anselmian parents and students,

we have now come to the end of the penultimate week of term, with only a week until half-term. It is essential that all boys maintain their efforts for 5 more school days before having a well-deserved break!

We held our first remote Parents Evening on Wednesday, another technological landmark. It was such a success that we will be using School Cloud again. We intend to hold a Pastoral parents Evening for Year 7, with Form teachers and Head of Year 7 only, on February 24th, and we will probably use this software for Year 11 and 13 Parents Evenings in March or April, once the re-opening of schools has been clarified.
Year 7 & 9 Monitoring grades, based upon commitment to Remote Learning, will be sent out at half-term.

Earlier this week I sent out my January Newsletter which contains guidance regarding Remote Learning, including our Remote Learning Statement on the College website, and our current, limited, knowledge of the criteria for Centre Assessed Grades, as well as details of recent students achievements.  We will observe Safer Internet Day on Tuesday 9th February. Special assemblies will be held this week on the theme "Keeping Safe Online".

Please take a moment to remember our much-loved former Chair of Governors, Brian Cummings MBE, who passed away last Friday.
May Brian rest in peace.

I wish you all an enjoyable weekend,
Simon Duggan
Headmaster
