• Header - Basketball 2

Basketball is a very popular game at the College in both curriculum and extra curricular time. Students are taught skills and team strategy in Key Stage 3 lessons and then given the opportunity to represent their forms in Inter form competition. Any student can attend the lunchtime and after College clubs to try and gain selection for their Year group team.

The College enters the Wirral Leagues and in recent years has entered selected certain teams into the National Developing Schools Basketball competition. The U18 side reached the national quarter Final in 2008 in that competition.
Former pupils have gone on to play for local teams, whilst others such as Kieran Green and Ryan Gallagher have played for the Chester Jets. Recent old boy Matthew Townsend has represented Loughborough University. Our most recent success is Luke Gosney. He has played mens professional Basketball for the Cheshire Pheonix first team in the National League this season. Luke has also gained a scholarship to play In the USA in 2017-18 whilst continuing with his education in the States.
